Born Of, Derived From

Father God desired Israel to be as a firstborn among the nations. Israel fulfilled its role in certain periods, but disobedience plagued her throughout the centuries. What the Israelites did not achieve in obedience, The Son of Man achieved after being born into the people of Israel. He lived as a Jew, and salvation is from the Jews. He exemplified the model of the Firstborn.

Jesus did not derive from God in the same fashion as all of Creation. Jesus was not created: He shared the divine existence [Phil 2:6], essence [Heb 1:3], and glory before the universe began [John 17:5], but then proceeded from The Father [John 8:42], descended to Earth [John 6:38], took on human nature [Phil 2:7a], and tabernacled among humans [John 1:14] in the substance of flesh [Rom 8:3; Phil 2:7c-d; 1 Tim 3:15-16]. His derivation from God The Father was temporal (He descended to Earth at a specific point in time). The biblical evidence of this is overwhelming.

As for the people of God, some Jews believed Jesus and remained the Assembly/Church of God. Afterward, the Gentiles were grafted in. One cannot be merely a descendant of Isaac; one must be born again.
